Day 1. Cochin
The mesmerizing journey in India commences with your arrival on Cochin airport. Our representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to a luxurious resort for your stay here.
After freshening up head to explore Cochin also referred as Queen of Arabian Sea. The city houses one of the finest harbors which even attracted the colonists and it was one of the first sites to be colonized. Take a guided tour of the city and visit the historic Fort Kochi, the Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi synagogue, St. Francis Church and see authentic Chinese Fishing nets- all these places hold immense historical wealth which you will discover.
Day 2. Cochin – Munnar (135 km)
This morning embark on a scenic drive to Munnar- a popular hill station situated amidst the plush green Nilgiri Hills. Upon arrival you will be escorted to a hill resort offering amazing view of the valley. Later stroll down to the fragrant tea estates rejoicing in the pleasant cool climate. Besides the plantations you will also visit the Eravikulam national park followed by which you will return to the resort for a cozy overnight sleep.
Day 3. Munnar- Periyar (150 km)
After a leisurely breakfast you will be driven to Periyar, a beautiful natural abode of many birds and animals and also the spice plantation hub of Kerala. Upon arrival you will be escorted to the hotel where you will freshen up before proceeding for sightseeing tour. Visit the spice plantations in the evening where you will be amazed to see such variety of spices and cloves, cardamom, ginger, chilli, pepper, turmeric being few of them. Do buy few of the spices to take back home.
Day 4. Periyar
This morning start off early for an exotic boat ride in Lake Periyar which surrounds the Periyar National Park. Explore the wild in their natural turf in this boat safari wherein you may get sights of elephants, leopards, rare lion tailed macaques, sambhar deer and Indian bison. You can even opt for a guided trek through the National Park.
Day 5. Periyar – Kumarakom (185 km)
This morning you will head for Kumarakom a charming coastal town in Kerala. Here you will be accommodated in a luxurious resort overlooking the scenic beauty offered by the backwaters. The town is known for rubber plantations and is home to a Bird Sanctuary where you will find innumerable exotic species of birds; it is a heaven for bird watchers. Later pamper yourself by availing the various Spa and Ayurveda sessions offered at the resort.
Day 6. Kumarakom – Alleppey (Houseboat)
On this day, get ready for an exquisite experience of staying in a houseboat. You will cruise through the serene palm fringed backwaters to reach Alleppey. Spend the entire day relaxing amidst the pictorial nature and zooming through the rural life while cruising in the houseboat. Relish the authentic South Indian meals cooked and served onboard.
Day 7. Alleppey – Kovalam (159 km)
This morning disembark your houseboat and proceed for the beach town of Kovalam. Kovalam houses some of the most beauteous and fantastic beaches of India. Upon arrival you will be transferred to a luxurious beach resort. Rest of the day can be spent in relaxing and sun basking on the private beach of the resort.
Day 8. Kovalam
On this day tour the pristine beaches of Kovalam. Apart from the beaches visiti the highlights of the city like the Lighthouse located on a hillock named Kurumakal, the Vellayani Lake, Valiyathura Pier, Kovalam Art Gallery and the Thrivalluram Parashurama Temple. Enjoy the breathtaking sight of sunset Edakallu- a popular sunset viewing spot of the town.
Day 9. Kovalam – Trivendrum (16 km)
Your fabulous trip to India reaches to its culmination on this day. Post breakfast you will be driven to Trivendrum where you will be escorted to the airport from where you will board the flight back home with abundant cherishable memories.
