India holds an extreme wealth of culture due to its rich historical past. Discover the timeless traditions in temples of Varanasi and Khajuraho and watch history unfolded in the heritage cities of Delhi, Jaipur & Agra. This exquisite country is also famed for its abundant wilderness and you can witness the diverse wildlife creatures including the endangered Royal Bengal tiger in your trip which includes Bandhavgarh, Ranthambore and Panna .
Day 1. Arrive at Delhi
On your arrival at the Delhi International airport you will be greeted by our agent who would be in your service up till your stay in Delhi. From the airport you would be escorted to the hotel where you can relieve yourself from jet lag. If time allows you would be driven around the bustling markets to have a look into the lifestyle of the locals.
Day 2. In Delhi
This morning you will explore the heart of India beginning with Old Delhi visiting the largest mosque in India- Jama Masjid and the Red Fort which was the residence of rulers of Mughal dynasty. A walk through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk will expose you to various street delicacies, extremely popular in Delhi. Your sightseeing tour also will include places like Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb which till today carry the Mughal legacy.
Day 3. Drive to Agra
On this day you will continue your journey and get transferred to Agra. On arrival in the city you will be chauffeured to the hotel where after few hours of rest you will proceed to visit the highlights of the city monuments like the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daula, Mehtab Bagh, imposing Agra Fort, Sikandara and many more. Get the mesmerizing view of the wondrous monument- the Taj Mahal in the evening when the sun is about set and the entire monument glitters in red-orange hue.
Day 4. Drive to Ranthambore (290 km)
This morning you will be driven to Ranthambore enroute visiting Abhaneri where you will explore the 10th century step well named Chand Baori. Later resume your drive to Ranthambore having a glimpse of rural life of Rajasthan on the way. Upon arrival in Ranthambore you will be transferred to a jungle resort for overnight stay.
Day 5. Ranthambore
This morning leave the hotel for adventurous jungle safari in the Ranthambore National Park which is home to wide variety of flora and fauna. Numerous bird and animal species like deer, sloth bear, leopard, shy caracal and of course tigers can be sighted here amidst the dry deciduous forest. Followed by the thrilling ride, you will visit the massive Ranthambore Fort and the ancient Trinetra Ganesh Temple situated in the fort.
Day 6. Drive to Jaipur (168 km)
This morning you will be driven to the vibrant Pink City. On the way you will visit the erstwhile Mughal capital Fatehpur Sikri which remained so till only 14 years and was later abandoned. Spectacular red sandstone buildings like the Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, Sheikh Salim Chisty Dargah, etc are highlights of this town. On arrival in Jaipur you will be escorted to a heritage hotel to give you a taste of royalty in the royal land of Rajasthan.
Day 7. In Jaipur
Jaipur holds in its heart the royal legacy of the Rajputs rulers. In your full day sightseeing tour you will visit the formidable Amer Fort situated on a hilltop offering panoramic view of the entire city. This magnificent fort comprises of courtyards, balconies and palaces like Sheesh Mahal which provide an insight about the extravagant lifestyle of the Rajput rulers. The Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum are the other gems of the city which draws innumerable tourists. Stroll down the bustling streets of Jaipur stuffed with indigenous crafts, textiles and other items.
Day 8. Transfer to Varanasi
The sacred city of Varanasi which draws several devotees from all over the country throughout the year will be visited ion the 8th day of North India Tour. Here you will be acquainted with the ardent faith people hold for this city. The entire city is dotted with numerous temples- the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Golden Temple, Kal Bhairav Temple being the major ones. In the evening you will be touring the holy Ganges River and the Ghats situated on the either side by taking a boat ride. You will also witness the evening aarti ceremony which offers an enchanting view as flowers and tiny lamps are being flown into the river during the ritual.
Day 9. Drive to Khajuraho – Panna (25 km)
This morning you will board the flight to Khajuraho, an ancient town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh which dates back to 10th century. After spending few hours of rest at the hotel you will proceed to visit the UNESCO world heritage site the Khajuraho Temples which are adorned with intricate erotic sculptures- an example of artistic brilliance. The Kendriya Mahadev temple is the most spectacular one among the temples in the complex depicting over 800 sculptures. Later you will be driven to the Panna where your accommodation is arranged in a boutique jungle lodge where you will stay overnight.
Day 10. Drive to Bandhavgarh (200 km)
This morning you will proceed to visit the Panna Tiger reserve located in the foothills of Vindhyan range. Apart from rich wildlife the park also has sites of historical importance, some of them dating back to Neolithic era. The Ken River flows through the reserve creating attractive waterfalls through the valley which is a sight to watch. Later you will proceed for Bandhavgarh where on arrival you will be escorted to the jungle lodge which will give you a novice experience of residing in a jungle.
Day 11 – 12. Bandhavgarh
You will spend two days in exploring this well managed natural habitat of wildlife creatures. The Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is known for its population of the mighty Royal Bengal Tigers. The thrilling experience of two days Jungle safari catching sights of animals in their daily routine would be a lifetime memory. Wildlife photographers would get ample of opportunities to get the best shots of their life. Apart from tigers, other animals like white tigers, leopards and deer can also be sighted in the amusing jungle safari. In your two days stay you will also visit the majestic Bandhavgarh Fort, Fossil National Park and Baghel Museum.
Day 13. Jabalpur – Fly to Delhi
This morning you will pack your bags and depart for Jabalpur where you will be dropped at the airport to the board the flight to Delhi. From Delhi you will board the flight back home taking back tones of memories of India.
