The UNESCO World Heritage site Khajuraho is known for its Khajuraho group of monuments. Khajuraho is located 175 kilometers south east of Jhansi in the state of Madhya Pradesh. A majority of the Khajuraho Temples were built between 950 and 1050 AD by the rulers of Chandela dynasty.  The temples are reflective of superior architectural skills of that period. The architectural style used in the temples is the Nagara style which made these temples unique. According to historical records the number of temples at the site was 85 till the 12th century, now only 25 have survived ravage of time.  The temples of a dedicated to two religions that are Hinduism and Jainism depicting religious solidarity.  The temples are adorned with breathtakingly beautiful erotic sculptures.  The temple complex contains the Kendariya Mahadev Temple, Varah Temple, Laxman Temple, Parshwanath temple Chaturbhuja temple and many more.
