Gwalior is a city situated in the state of Madhya Pradesh earlier this place was ruled by Scindia royal family. The mighty 8th century Gwalior Fort, built on a sandstone hill, is the famous tourist attraction which also hosts light and sound show in the evening narrating the historical importance of the Fort. Other tourist attractions are Kalavithika which is a Museum known for ancient paintings, instruments and portraits displaying culture and history of Madhya Pradesh. The Scindia Museum which is a part of Jai Vilas Palace was built by the prisoners of Gwalior fort.
