Munnar is a serene hill station in the Western Ghats mountain range. Located in the Idduki district of Kerala, Munnar is famous for its tea plantations since late 19thcentury. Being a Biodiversity Hotspot, the entire region is extensively rich in flora and fauna and is dominated by lush green forests, waterfall and lakes. Tourists enjoy activities here like walking through the Tea Estates, Bird watching and hiking on the highest peak of Western Ghats, Anamudi Peak.  Many endemic species of bird and animals can also be spotted in Munnar. The Eravikulam National Park is home to many rare species like the Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat. The sightseeing places here include CSI Christ Church, Munnar Tea Museum, Mattupetty Dam and Attukal Waterfalls.
