Day 1. Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at the Delhi International airport you will be greeted by our agent who would be in your service up till your stay in Delhi. From the airport you would be escorted to a five or three star hotel where you can relieve yourself from jet lag in the luxurious suites. Relish a sumptuous Indian meal in dinner at the hotel.
Day 2. In Delhi
This morning you will explore the heart of India beginning from Old Delhi visiting the impressive Red Fort which was the residence of rulers of Mughal dynasty, the largest mosque in India- Jama Masjid and the second tallest minaret in India- the Qutub Minar which till today carry the Mughal legacy. A walk through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk will expose you to mouth watering street delicacies like Parathe, Dahi Bhalla, Tikki chaat, Chola Kulcha, Papdi Chaat, etc which are extremely popular in Delhi. Have the traditional Avadhi cuisine as dinner this day, popular since the time of Mughals in India.
Day 3. Drive to Agra
The romantic city of Agra would be the next milestone to be covered in your voyage. On arrival in the city you will be chauffeured to the hotel where the room offers an uninterrupted view of the magical monument- Taj. In addition with the Taj, Agra is also popular for its indigenous sweet dish known as ‘anguri petha’ which is a sheer delicacy. Visit the iconic monument- the Taj Mahal in the evening when the sun is about set and the entire monument glitters in red-orange hue. Also, enjoy the guided tour of the monuments that boast of the mughal extravagance like the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daula, Mehtab Bagh, imposing Agra Fort, Sikandara and many more. Indulge yourself at a fine Indian restaurant tasting the traditional delicacies including Kebabs, Korma and Biryani which is a part of the royal cuisine.
Day 4. Agra to Ranthambore (290 km)
This morning you will be driven to Ranthambore enroute visiting Abhaneri where you will explore the 10th century step-well named Chand Baori. Later resume your drive to Ranthambore having a glimpse of rural life of Rajasthan on the way. Upon arrival in Ranthambore you will be transferred to a jungle resort for overnight stay.
Day 5. In Ranthambore
This morning leave the hotel for adventurous jungle safari in the Ranthambore National Park which is home to wide variety of flora and fauna. Numerous bird and animal species like deer, sloth bear, leopard, shy caracal and of course tigers can be sighted here amidst the dry deciduous forest. Followed by the thrilling ride, you will visit the massive Ranthambore Fort and the ancient Trinetra Ganesh Temple situated in the fort. Dine at the hotel itself relishing Indian breads with Rajasthani accompaniments.
Day 6. Ranthambore to Jaipur (168 km)
After delicious breakfast, you will be transferred to the most exotic location of Rajasthan, The Pink City-Capital of Rajasthan. Known for its unbelievable heritage beauty, it attracts tourists across the world. your arrival will be greeted by the team member of Royal Routes who will escort you to the pre-booked accommodation where you can unpack, relax and enjoy your stay.
Day 7. In Jaipur
Jaipur is famous for forts, palaces and rich Indian cultural heritage and is also known for its Marwari flavours. Like the locals begin your day with steaming hot Kachoris served with imli chutney and Lassi as breakfast. In your full day sightseeing tour you will visit the formidable Amer Fort situated on a hilltop offering panoramic view of the entire city. The Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum are the other gems of the city which draws innumerable tourists. In dinner you would be driven to a traditional village style restaurant serving Rajasthani Thali comprising of Dal Baal Churma and other Rajasthani delicacies.
Day 8. Drive to Udaipur via Ranakpur (259 km)
On your way to Udaipur you will visit the famous Ranakpur Jain temples which are known for elaborate carvings in the white marble structure and are an example of the artistic excellence. Situated in the lap of Aravalis the picturesque Lake City of Udaipur is in the bucket list of every traveller. Upon arrival you will be dropped at a well known luxury hotel offering the scenic lake view, where rest of the day is free for your independent activities.
Day 9. In Udaipur
Owing to its immense beauty, Udaipur is often referred as the Venice of the East.
Begin your sightseeing tour with the exquisite City Palace overlooking Lake Pichola. The Palace is largest in Rajasthan and is adorned with beautiful paintings, frescos and inlaid glass work which is quite amusing. The 17th century Jagdish temple, Saheliyo Ki Bari, Fatehsagar Lake and the Eklingji temple are few other places popular among tourists in Udaipur. Relish the sumptuous Mewari cuisine as Dinner at a fine local restaurant.
Day 10. Transfer to Mumbai
Board the morning flight to Mumbai and upon arrival you would be transferred to a majestic Palace Hotel for your stay in the city. This iconic hotel is one of top hotels of the world. This hotel is situated at Gate Way of India at sea shore which provides panoramic view of Arabian Sea. Here you will get all the comfort as the hotel is renowned for its hospitality; the friendly staff of hotel will try their best to make you feel at home.
Day 11. In Mumbai
The day will be dedicated for the Mumbai Darshan, starting with Gateway of India next destination will be Elephanta Caves, these caves are Hindu caves that contain rock cut stone sculptures and represents the Shaiva Hindu sect, dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Leave to explore other places of interest like Victoria Terminus, Flora Fountain, Horniman Circle and the High Court, all these places represent the colonial period of Bombay. After visiting these places enjoy visiting Hanging Garden and then enjoy your sunset at chaupati while tasting some mouthwatering Indian street food. You can spend your late evening strolling in the bustling local markets which provides ample of variety of stuff which you can buy as souvenirs.
Day 12. Mumbai – Aurangabad
This morning you will hit the roads to reach Aurangabad, which was flourished by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The place is famous for few historic architectural marvels as Bibi-qa-Maqbara which is a replica of the Taj Mahal, Shivaji Maharaj museum and Daulatabad fort. The other famous attraction of this place is the awe-inspiring, UNESCO world heritage site- the Ellora and Ajanta caves. These ancient rock cut caves dating back to 600-1000 A.D are one of the kind requires a mandatory visit. Dine in the hotel itself where you can relish the authentic Marathi cuisine.
Day 13. Aurangabad – Cochin
Checkout from the hotel and proceed to board the morning flight to Mumbai from where you will board the connecting flight to Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin you are taken to the hotel for lodging. After recuperating from the jetlag you will explore the coastal Keralan culture residing in Cochin. In the evening you can witness the mesmerizing Kathakali dance performance- an indigenous dance form of Kerala.
Day 14. Cochin
This morning give a kick start to your day with South Indian breakfast comprising Idli, Dosa, Sambhar and nariyal chutney. Later, head out to explore Cochin. The city houses one of the finest harbors which even attracted the colonists and it was one of the first sites to be colonized. Take a guided tour of the city and visit the historic Fort Kochi, the Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi synagogue, St. Francis Church and see authentic Chinese Fishing nets- all these places hold immense historical wealth which you will discover. If desired you can have more of South Indian cuisine as Dinner at the hotel.
Day 15. Cochin- Backwater cruise
You will cruise through the serene palm fringed backwaters to in Alleppey. Spend the entire day relaxing amidst the pictorial nature and zooming through the rural life while cruising in the houseboat. Relish the authentic South Indian meals cooked and served onboard.
Day 16. Cochin- Departure
Disembark your houseboat in Alleppey and hit the roads for Cochin; enjoy your drive dreamingly gazing through the lush green surroundings that will lure your heart. Upon arrival in Cochin you would be dropped at the airport from where you can board the flight back homes.
