Day 1. Arrive in Delhi
As you land at the Delhi International airport you will be greeted by our team member who would be at your service up till your stay in Delhi. From the airport you would be escorted to the hotel where you can recuperate after the exhausting flight. The chauffeur would be at your hand so you can even set out to explore the bustling capital city.
Day 2: In Delhi
This morning you will explore the heart of India beginning from Old Delhi visiting the largest mosque in India- Jama Masjid and the Red Fort which was the residence of rulers of Mughal dynasty. A walk through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk will expose you to various street delicacies, extremely popular in Delhi. Your sightseeing tour also will include places like Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb which till today carry the true Mughal legacy.
Day 3: Transfer to Varanasi
On this morning you will board a direct flight to the sacred city of Varanasi which draws several devotees from all over the country throughout the year. Upon landing you would be driven to the luxurious heritage hotel where your accommodation is arranged till your stay in the city. Spend few hours in leisure relaxing and unwinding in the deluxe suite. In the evening you will be touring the holy Ganges River and the Ghats situated on the either side by taking a boat ride. You will also witness the evening aarti ceremony which offers an enchanting view as flowers and tiny lamps are being flown into the river during the ritual.
Day 4. In Varanasi
Rise along with sun and leave for a morning boat ride in the Ganges. The temples along the river gleaming in the morning sunshine will light up your day. After the refreshing start of your day return to the hotel for a scrumptious breakfast and proceed for the city tour accompanied by our guide. Visit the epitome of faith the Kashi Vishwanath Temple dedicated to hindu god Lord Shiva and has been destroyed and reconstructed many times in history. Later you will visit the Buddhist pilgrimage site- Sarnath where Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment. Return to Varanasi and visit the 16th century Ramnagar Fort lying across the river Ganges.
Day 5. Transfer to Agra
On arrival in the city you will be chauffeured to the hotel where the afternoon would be spent at leisure. Get the mesmerizing view of the wondrous monument- the Taj Mahal in the evening when the sun is about set and the entire monument glitters in red-orange hue. Late come back to the hotel for a cosy overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6. In Agra
Begin your day with delicious breakfast at the hotel and later visit the highlights of the city. Agra have been, for several years, the capital of the mighty mughal dynasty and hence the entire city boasts of the mughal legacy and is dotted with numerous monuments like the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daula, Mehtab Bagh, stunningly beautiful Agra Fort, Sikandara and many more. Our guide will acquaint you with the historical significance of the places you will visit.
Day 7. Agra to Jaipur (240 km)
This morning you will be driven to the vibrant Pink City. On the way you will visit the erstwhile Mughal capital Fatehpur Sikri which remained so till only 14 years and was later abandoned. Spectacular red sandstone buildings like the Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, Sheikh Salim Chisty Dargah, etc are highlights of this town. On arrival in Jaipur you will be escorted to a heritage hotel to give you a taste of royalty in the royal land of Rajasthan.
Day 8. In Jaipur
Jaipur holds famous for forts, palaces and rich Indian cultural heritage. In your full day sightseeing tour, you will visit the formidable Amer Fort situated on a hilltop offering a panoramic view of the entire city. Reach the fort on an elephant back and feel like royalty. This magnificent fort comprises of courtyards, balconies and palaces like Sheesh Mahal which provide an insight into the extravagant lifestyle of the Rajput rulers. The Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum are the other gems of the city which draws innumerable tourists.
Day 9. Drive to Delhi
Upon arrival you would be transferred to the hotel for overnight stay. Sleep early this day as you have to again have a morning flight to board the next day.
Day 10. Fly to Dharamshala
This morning you would be chauffeured to airport to board flight to Dharamshala, a town situated on the upper ridges of Kangra Valley. The town offers mesmerizing view of the snow capped hills, lush green valleys and thick deodar forests. The place is also spiritually significant as it home to Dalai Lama- spiritual leader of Tibetan sect of Buddhisim.
Day 11. In Dahramshala
This morning set off to explore this picturesque hill town. Visit to Mc Leodganj is mandatory due to its spiritual significance as it is home to 14th Dalai Lama and also enjoy the delightful view of Hanuman Tibba – the highest peak visible from this place. Discover the ancient rock cut temples in Masrur dating back to 8th century AD. The temples containing several images of Hindu deities seem similar to Ajanta and Ellora caves.
Day 12. In Dharamshala
Start your morning by seeking blessings by visiting the Church of St. John and Namgyal Monastery. Learn about the Kangra culture and Tibetan Buddhism at the Kangra Museum. Spend your evening watching mesmerizing sight of sunset at the Dal Lake.
Day 13. Dharamshala to Amritsar (200 km)
Rise early and set off to enjoy a scenic drive to Amritsar through the pictorial surroundings. Amritsar houses one of the holiest shrines of Sikhs and hence is a popular pilgrimage centre. Upon arrival you would be escorted to a fine luxurious hotel where you will enjoy comfortable sleep overnight.
Day 14. In Amritsar
This morning rise early and visit the spectacular Golden temple which gleams in golden hue in the early rays of the sun. You can even relish lunch in ‘Langar’ served in the Golden Temple, a common community eating practice. Later visit the popular Jallianwala Bagh where the dreadful Jallianwala incident occurred in colonial India. In the evening witness the beating the retreat ceremony at the Wagah border.
Day 15. Return to Delhi
This morning board the flight to Delhi as you come to the end of your journey. On arrival you would be transferred to hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 16. Departure
On this day you would be dropped at the airport in the morning to board your international flight back home.
